Kohima, Nagaland, July 27 (HBTV): The Angami Youth Organisation convened an emergency presidential council meeting in response to the recent threat of so-called “capital punishment” against an Angami Naga contractor by the underground group NSCN-Khango group.

The meeting saw the attendance of all executive Leaders from the four Angami ranges as well as youth leaders from all Angami villages attended the event, updates received here on Saturday stated.

The primary agenda of the meeting was to deliberate on the so-called “death penalty/capital punishment” threat against the contractor and to discuss a course of action.

The underground group NSCN-Khango group demanded a percentage of all work undertaken by Zhaleo Rùlho and threatened him with capital punishment if he failed to comply, the updates stated.

Zhaleo Rùlho was contacted by the NSCN-Khango group with another faction demanding tax within 15 days or face “capital punishment”. The contractor questioned the legality and authority of the demand and refused to comply.
